Aries Suns like to get things done. There’s a bit of a militaristic quality to their efforts—HONOR, GLORY—and they can be very decisive. These folks easily make a lot of choices that cannot be undone. But the wise Aries knows that eliminating options creates peace of mind and moves the action forward.

Aries Suns usually have good gut instincts and can instantly know what will work best for themselves. They typically operate well in fast-paced environments that have a creative aspect. To connect with an Aries Sun, give them a job to do. As a fire sign, Aries Suns like to transmute things into new things. You’ll get these qualities to some extent in Aries Risings as well.

Aries is ruled by Mars, and Mars can be anywhere in the chart relative to the Sun. Check the Mars placement to get a sense of what ignites an Aries Sun into action. Those with Mars in Aries, Scorpio, and Capricorn, where Mars has good dignity, can find their efforts highly effective. Those with Mars in Libra, Taurus, and Cancer, where Mars has poor dignity, may struggle a bit more to take charge of their direction in life, or may sometimes seem too decisive in areas that require more leniency.

The Sun is exalted in Aries, so there’s a boost to the personal presence of these folks, and they often find themselves in leadership positions due to the combination of their heightened visibility and their confidence in decision-making.
