Earth Signs

Life unfolds slowly for a Capricorn Sun. Many Capricorn Suns will not relate much to their Sun sign until later in life, in their 30s and beyond, and might relate more to the Moon or Rising sign before that. Responding to Saturn’s limitations is the name of the game for a Capricorn Sun. They often end up shouldering large responsibilities when young—this is also true for Capricorn Moons and Capricorn Risings.

Capricorn Suns learn to focus their attention on things that can pay off over time. This can grow into an interest in business, social work, child-rearing, property management, architecture, and the like. They may take their relationships very seriously as well, noticing that good relationships may take effort but pay off in times of need. Capricorn Suns judge things by their ability to last. They appreciate timekeeping and other tracking systems. They usually have had troubling experiences of things not lining up unless they put in extra legwork.

Capricorn Suns can find themselves in social positions where their sternness and willingness to enforce limits is particularly useful. They are practical and not afraid to take on limitations as long as they feel the goal is worthwhile. Capricorn Suns are dedicated to their goals, and usually seek mastery. Ask a Capricorn Sun about what skills they are developing.

Capricorn is ruled by Saturn, so Saturn’s position will be very informative to where the Capricorn Sun ends up building their life’s work. Saturn can be located anywhere in the chart relative to the sun. Particularly good signs for Saturn would be Capricorn and Aquarius, where Saturn is in dignity as the ruler, or Libra, where Saturn is exalted. Capricorns with Saturn in these signs will typically find their long term efforts effective, and things they started long ago may start to bloom brightly.

If Saturn is in Aries, where it’s in fall, or Cancer or Leo, where it’s in detriment, a Capricorn Sun may have to put in years and years of hard work before finding an effective path forward. It’s especially tough if Saturn is in Cancer in opposition to the Sun, effectively teaching a Capricorn Sun the full limits of what can be shouldered and what should be left alone. The main way to improve one’s path forward when facing Saturn’s limiting effect, is to become more attuned to the difference between needing to push harder and needing to find a new path.

As always, these are only stereotypes, that some people will fall outside of. Astrology is very complicated and the whole chart needs to be considered for accuracy. I’m available for personal readings at my site: sangastrology.com
